Teaching style: Rita's teaching style is alignment and breath focused, drawing strongly from the Katonah Yoga lineage as well as her Indian heritage. She strives to create a warm, open environment to provide students with the tools they need to foster accessibility to an authentic space within themselves. Classes are challenging yet accessible, thoughtfully crafted yet playful.

What poses do you always teach? virasana, dog (obviously), folds, pyramid, backbends, twists 

Favorite pose? Paschimottanasana (Katonah style)  

Least favorite pose? It changes, but whatever it is, I know I should be doing it more

NYC neighborhood? Nolita 

Favorite fruit? Mangoes in summer, pomegranates in winter 

Favorite tunes for yoga? Piano and cello to deep beats

Most embarrassing yoga moment? Only for the lucky few that were there heh 

Interests outside of yoga: Cooking / baking, exploring intn'l locales, dahlias, rooftops, danceable music

Special talent? Making / eating thai curry
