Training/education: ERYT 500 Certified. Over 1000 hours training in Classical Hatha, Vinyasa, Anatomy and Kinesiology, Vedic and Tantra Mediation. Additional training in Injury Awareness and Prevention, Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama, CPR.

Favorite prop: Blocks and a sense of humor

Primary practice (asana, pranyama, meditation, all?): Meditation, Pranayama and Asana. The magic trifecta.

Teaching style: I teach a fun, athletic, and energizing class centered on the breath and take a personalized approach to teaching, which make my classes welcome to all levels and equally challenging for every student. I've been told I have a very calming voice (thanks friends!) and I like to foster community in the classroom.

What poses do you always teach: Sun Salutations and a short guided meditation

Favorite pose: Sukhasana, simple and complex all in one

Least favorite pose: No such thing. 

NYC neighborhood: Spread love it's the Brooklyn way. 

Favorite fruit: Mango!

Favorite tunes for yoga: Music is life.  In class I play tunes that are chill and ethereal, I don't like the music to be a distraction from the practice. Occasionally when the mood hits me I'll play some Frank Ocean, Erykah Badu, Khruangbin, or something smooth and downtempo.

Most embarrassing yoga moment?: Laughed so hard in class I fell out of a pose

Interests outside of yoga: filling my house with plants, spending time outdoors especially the beach

Special talent: Singing and baking a mean banana bread loaf (can be done simultaneously)
